Bud Light Places Two Execs On Leave
The executive changes comes after Bud Light experienced both support and negative retaliations for its collaboration with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.
Anheuser-Busch has placed two executives on leave for their involvement in a marketing move that has prompted backlash and a decline in sales.
Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s vice president of marketing, was placed on leave. Todd Allen, most recently Budweiser’s vice president of global marketing, has been appointed to take her place.
Daniel Blake has also been placed on leave, he is Anheuser-Busch’s vice president who oversaw market for mainstream brands.
The executive changes comes after Bud Light experienced both support and negative retaliations for its collaboration with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.
The beer maker sponsored two Instagram posts by Mulvaney who has 1.8 million followers and 10.8 million on TikTok as well. Bud Light sent Mulvaney a can of beer with her face on it.
The brewery giant works with many influencers across their brands to stay connected with people across different demographics. However, it was announced Mulvaney’s face can was a gift for personal celebration and will not be for sale to the general public.
This comes after sales immediately declined from the idea of their partnership.
