Two Additional Arrests Made In Connection To Cockfighting Ring Bust

More arrests are expected to be made and an investigation is currently underway.

Two additional arrests have been made in connection to the Marlboro County cockfighting ring bust.

On Sunday, deputies arrived on the scene of an on-going cockfighting event where they discovered 33 roosters and 13 of them were dead.

Many complaints in recent months led to a search in the area of Griggs Circle and Grants Mill Road.

During the executed search warrant, police found guns, drugs, and money on the property.

Artemus Butler, David Williams, Jimmie Clark, and Kenneth Bartlett were all arrested on the day the property was searched.

On Monday, police arrested Gary Steen, the alleged winner of the fights, and Jimmy Miller, the organizer of the event.

More arrests are expected to be made and an investigation is currently underway.
