Simple Ways to Celebrate Earth Day!

Whether you spend time in your garden, out in nature or just focus on living green, here are ways to celebrate.

This Saturday is Earth Day and whether you spend time in your garden, out in nature or just focus on living green, here are ways to celebrate.

Support pollinators. The populations of our native bees, butterflies, and other insect pollinators have been declining for several decades. Try adding flowers like salvia, black eyed susans, marigold and cone flowers to your landscape. These are just are just some that attract beneficial insects.

Reduce the amount of water you’re using. Invest in reusable water bottles for the whole family. Also, the day is a good reminder to turn the faucet off when you’re brushing your teeth, washing your face, or shaving.

Take reusable shopping bags with you to the grocery store, Target, or even the mall, and skip the plastic bags as often as you can.
