Members of the ‘Gang of Eight’, includes the House and Senate leaders from each party as well as the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees.
The Biden administration granted the group permission to look over the documents found illegally held in the homes of President Biden, Former President Trump, and Former Vice President, Mike Pence.
The main argument from top lawmakers has been the need to understand the contents and extent of all the documents in order to understand the potential damage that could come if they had fallen into the wrong hands as proper handling protocols regarding the documents were not followed.
