LSU Wins The NCAA Women’s National Championship

The Tiger's became the third No. 3 seed team to win the title and the first since 1997.

On Sunday, the LSU Tigers won the program’s first NCAA women’s basketball national championship.

The Tigers set a new record for most points scored in a half during a women’s championship game with 59 points in the first half resulting in a 17-point lead by half time.

The champion’s gained their title with a final score of 102 to 85 against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
