The possible veto targets ‘The Lower Energy Costs Act’ that includes changes to the energy permitting process and boosts domestic energy production.

The White House argues that the GOP-led bill would ‘raise costs’ for consumers.

The opposing also added that the bill would not protect American consumers, but pad “oil and gas company profits that are already at a record high” and it would “undercut the nation’s public health and environment”.

The Biden Administration shared that the White House strongly opposes the bill and if it is passed, the president would veto it.

The threat comes after he recently signed his first veto as president earlier this month.
