In 2016 Kym Shurbutt was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer. Kym’s only chance of survival was a bone marrow transplant. Fortunately, the Medical University of South Carolina worked with the ‘Be The Match’ Foundation to locate the perfect match that miraculously cured his condition and extended his life by many healthy years.
