Georgetown entertainer Bil Krauss will host the event complete with live music, local celebrities, and stories of survival. All proceeds will be donated directly to the ‘Be The Match’ Foundation. Bil and Rich are encouraging people between the ages of 18 and 40 to register with the foundation. They hope to raise funds so ‘Be the Match’ will have the resources they need to provide their lifesaving services.
In 2016 Kym Shurbutt was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer. Kym’s only chance of survival was a bone marrow transplant. Fortunately, the Medical University of South Carolina worked with the ‘Be The Match’ Foundation to locate the perfect match that miraculously cured his condition and extended his life by many healthy years.
