Want to Lose Weight?…Pretend Your Meal Was Bigger Than it Was!

A new weight loss hack could be as simple as using your imagination.

A new weight loss hack could be as simple as using your imagination. Researchers from the University of Cambridge say you can cut down on snacking by simply pretending that your most recent meal was bigger and more satisfying than it actually was. So basically, you’re preparing to devour a sleeve of Thin Mints but then you imagine that your last meal was this big, filling buffet, and suddenly you don’t want all those cookies anymore. They conducted a series of experiments, with a regular group of folks and another group who were told to imagine the meal they ate was twice the size it was. Then, they were all offered cookies. The imagination group ate the fewest cookies on average.
