Glendale, AZ Renames City in Honor of Taylor Swift

...in honor of Taylor Swift's two sold-out performances this weekend at the State Farm Stadium.

Glendale is temporarily changing its name to “Swift City” in honor of Taylor Swift’s two sold-out performances this weekend at the State Farm Stadium. The Glendale mayor read the proclamation weaving lyrics of Swift’s songs into his speech beginning with “Whereas” and “I Do Hereby Declare”…all phrases in her hits. Swift City is enforced until Sunday after the Swifties “light up that whole town”.
