Another Norfolk Southern Railway Train Derailed

Around 30 Norfolk Southern Railway train cars went off the tracks in Southeast Michigan. The derailment caused many temporary road closures.

Norfolk Southern Transportation company is facing several lawsuits as yet another train derailment has occurred.

On February 3rd, a Norfolk Southern train left the tracks with a total of 38 cars derailed, causing a fire. The cars released toxic fumes as the they were transporting hazardous chemicals into parts of an Ohio village and parts of Pennsylvania.

On Thursday night, authorities responded to another train derailment in Southeast Michigan. Around 30 Norfolk Southern Railway train cars went off the tracks. The derailment caused many temporary road closures.

While an investigation is currently on-going, there have been no reports of injuries or the presence of hazardous materials aboard the overturned portion of this train incident.

The railway company is facing lawsuits for alleged negligence and residents exposed to the dangerous chemicals from the derailment that occurred in Ohio.
