Murdaugh Murder Case Reaches Its 17th Day
Alex Murdaugh is on trial for the double murder of his wife, Maggie, and his youngest son, Paul. The two were shot and killed on the families hunting property in June of 2021.

On Tuesday the trial reached its 17th day as the jurors have heard many witnesses and statements.
On Monday, the forensic pathologist who performed autopsies on the victim’s testified.
Dr. Ellen Reimer described in detail the injuries that the two victims suffered. She said Paul could have survived the first shot to his chest if medically treated but the second was a fatal injury to the head. She described that Maggie had five gunshot wounds.
Reimer has been considered an expert in her field for decades. On Tuesday, she is set to to face cross-examination.
