Police Search For Possible Thief Of Significant Equipment

Officials are searching for a vehicle and a driver who they believe could have stolen equipment that was intended for the U.S. Navy use in their clean up efforts to collect debris from the Chinese spy balloon.

North Myrtle Beach Police are asking for the public’s help.

Officials are searching for a vehicle and a driver who they believe could have stolen equipment that was intended for the U.S. Navy use in their clean up efforts to collect debris from the Chinese spy balloon.

Teams have been searching for balloon debris since the balloon was shot down on the South Carolina Coast on February 4th.

On Thursday, as supplies were being dropped off for the Navy sailors working off the Carolina coast, someone took equipment that teams were using to locate debris.

The truck and trailer pictured in the video above are suspected to be involved in the theft incident.
