Roadmap Expected To Layout How Terminating ‘COVID Emergency’ Will Playout

The goal of the roadmap is to explain to the public what the end of the declaration "does and does not mean".

A roadmap is expected to be revealed on how the Biden administration plans to tackle the termination of the COVID public health emergency precaution.

The COVID-19 National and public health emergencies are set to end on May 11th. The decision to terminate the emergency efforts comes as the administration believes the pandemic is now in a different stage and should no longer be treated as a large threat to public health.

The goal of the roadmap is to explain to the public what the end of the declaration “does and does not mean”, including for State Health Departments as well as Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

In Biden’s ‘State of the Union’ address, President Biden stated “the U.S. has broken COVID’s grip”. He said the virus is not gone but COVID deaths are down nearly 90%.
