David DePape Appeared In Court For Attack On Paul Pelosi

The judge in DePape's state case released Capitol police footage of the incident that proves DePape broke into the home by breaking a glass door.

Paul Pelosi’s attacker appeared in court for a status hearing regarding the charges he faces from the assault.

David DePape faces charges of attempted kidnapping of a federal officer or employee and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official. The charges include maximum penalties of 20 and 30 years in prison.

Prosecutors told the judge that they have turned over more than 16 thousand pages of discovery materials and plan to hand the defense more. Some materials include police body camera footage, surveillance video, and forensic information from an FBI search.

DePape’s next court date is set for March 15th.
