Biden’s Delivered His Second ‘State Of The Union’ Speech
This was the first time the president delivered his State of the Union in front of a divided congress.
President Biden delivered his second State of the Union address Tuesday night.
The president’s speech focused on his administration’s economic plans as he hinted at his significant infrastructure bill and jobs growth. He stated his desire to restore unity and work with Congress in a ‘bipartisan’ manner.
The president proposed to Republicans to raise the $34.1 trillion debt ceiling. He also addressed drug price cuts for seniors and the rise in domestic manufacturing.
Biden also mentioned the Russian invasion in Ukraine, oil dependency, and America’s strategic competition with China.
