A new social media app could be coming soon.

Over four years ago, Instagram’s founders left the company. Now, they return with a new platform.

‘Artifact’ is an app that promises “a personalized news feed” backed by artificial intelligence. The platform will be focused on articles versus photos. It will recommend content based on the users interests and allow for communication with friends.

A main feed will show popular articles from large media organizations and even small bloggers. The personal feed will display content based around what a user clicks on.

Through an Instagram post, creators Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom, shared that they have been collectively working with a talented team for over a year to launch the app.

A wait list to join the app opened to the public Tuesday.
