Myrtle Beach Chamber Of Commerce Granted Money

A Santee Cooper program was created to fund EV projects that improve charging capabilities and assist their customer's switch to EV's.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce received an award from Santee Cooper’s EVolve grant program.

The grant program for electric vehicle charging infrastructure and make-ready research, awarded the Chamber with $25 thousand.

A portion of the money will be put toward installing a public-use EV charger at the Chamber’s visitor center and offices at 1200 North Oak Street.

The Chamber will conduct a study to identify where EV chargers are already placed and where more chargers are needed on the Grand Strand.
