CEO Of TikTok To Testify Before Congress

The hearing follows the blocking of the app on all government devices due to it being believed to be a spy for China and feeding secured U.S. information.

The CEO of TikTok is set to testify before congress.

Shou Zi Chew will testify on behalf of the video platform at a hearing before the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He will be the only witness called on during the hearing.

Chew is expected to testify on TikTok’s privacy and data security practices, its impact on young users, and its “relationship to the Chinese Communist Party”.

The hearing is scheduled for March 23rd.
