Suspect Arrested In Connection To Two Separate Shootings

Two separate shooting incidents were connected after an investigation. Two people died and two were injured from gun shot wounds.

A suspect has been arrested in connection to two separate shootings.

On Saturday, officers reported to Birch Creek Road in Andrews in response to two people lying in the road suffering gun shot wounds. The coroner was called after both victims did not survive the injuries sustained from the shooting.

Deputies were also called to Acadian Lane in the Kingstree area in response to two victims being shot. Both were transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

An investigation connected the two incidents.

On Sunday, 36-year-old, Lorenzo Cooper, was taken into custody. He is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
