Google is accused of harming competition with its dominance in the online advertising market. The Justice Department alleges that Google actively and illegally maintains dominance by engaging in a campaign to prevent competition.

The tech company allegedly bullied publishers and advertisers into using google ad technology products.

The U.S. Government called for the company to be broken up and for the court to order Google to drop at least its online ad exchange and its ad server for publishers, if not more.

The eight states that joined the lawsuit include, California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Virginia.
