Biden Announced First Slate Of Judicial Nominees

This list marks Biden's 29th round of nominees for federal judicial positions.

President Biden announced his first slate of judicial nominees this year.

The nominees include Michael Delaney to the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Amanda Brailsford to the U.S. District Court for Idaho, as well as Jeffrey Cummings and LaShonda Hunt for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

This list marks Biden’s 29th round of nominees for federal judicial positions. Since his presidency began, the number of announced federal nominees rose to 154.

The Biden judicial nominations with GOP support comes while the White House’s emphasis is on “reaching across the aisle” in a now-divided congress.

A White House statement shared the slate of nominees announced, continues to “fulfill the president’s promise to ensure the nation’s courts reflect diversity.”
