Solar-powered speed readers have been placed in residential areas to encourage drivers to reduce their speed.

Two of the radars were installed on 16th Avenue North and two more are set to be installed on 10th Avenue South.

If the radar detects your vehicle traveling at a higher speed than what the sign displays, it will flash bright lights.

They are meant to assist police officers in enforcing the set speed limit.
