Millions Displaced From Natural Disasters In 2022

The United Nations Refugee Agency revealed natural disaster displacement is one of climate changes "most devastating" impacts.

Millions of Americans were displaced last year due to natural disasters.

The U.S. Census Bureau reported over 3 million Americans were displaced including around 1 million in Florida alone after Hurricane Ian hit the state as a Category 4 and claimed the lives of at least 114 people.

Louisiana recorded 410 thousand residents were displaced after multiple tornadoes including a December storm that killed at least three people.

New England, Midwestern, and Great Plains states saw the lowest percentage of their residents displaced by natural disasters.
