Russian Missile Struck Ukrainian Residential Building

The attack killed at least 40 people including three children, and left 75 others injured.

A Russian missile strike on an apartment building in Central Ukraine marked one of the deadliest single attacks of the war.

The strike hit a residential building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. The core of the building is gone and now lays as a pile of rubble and concrete. Over 8,500 metric tons of debris were removed as rescuers attempted to reach survivors.

Russia denies targeting residential buildings and said the strike was a result of counter-missiles and air defense.

President Zelenskyy calls this missile strike a war crime.
