Mafia Boss Arrested After 30 Years Of Being A Fugitive

Matteo Denaro has been wanted since 1993 and is noted as Cosa Notra's longest-hiding fugitive.

Italy’s most wanted man has been arrested.

Matteo Messina Denaro is one of the bosses of the Cosa Nostra Mafia in Cicily. He is believed to be responsible for dozens of Mafia-related murders and was given several life sentences in absentia for his many crimes.

Denaro’s been wanted since 1993 and is noted as Cosa Notra’s longest-hiding fugitive.

Authorities arrested him while he was receiving treatment at a private health clinic in Palermo, Italy.
