Man Sentenced For ‘Grindr’ Robberies
Two men are convicted of using the 'Grindr' social media app to conduct robberies that occurred on December 28th and December 29th in 2018.
On Thursday, a man convicted for armed robberies in Myrtle Beach, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
23-year-old, Dlanor Tilton was convicted in July and his sentence was sealed after he failed to appear for his trial.
Officials spent five months searching for Tilton until they found him hiding out in Utah where he was playing in a local football league. He was then returned to Horry County to face two counts of armed robbery charges.
Tilton and an accomplice are guilty of using the ‘Grindr’ social media app to conduct the robberies that occurred on December 28th and December 29th in 2018. Both of the victims were visiting from out of town.
21-year-old, Mazar Sturdivant, was involved in the robberies and has been sentenced to 10 years.
