Man Beaten Outside Of Gas Station In Florence County

The victim had been beaten with an object that deputies believe could have been a hammer.

An investigation has been opened in the case of a man who was beaten outside of a gas station in Florence County.

On Wednesday, the man was found at the gas station beside the Travelodge along Highway 76. He had been beaten with an object that deputies believe could have been a hammer.

The victim was taken to the hospital suffering serious injuries. His condition has not yet been publicly shared.

Florence County Deputy, Chief Tommy Sullivan, shared that the victim is wanted in North Carolina for domestic violence and kidnapping.

An investigation is currently underway and no further details were immediately available.
