Biden Administration Responded To Pause On ‘Title 42’

The Biden administration responded and encouraged the justices to reject an emergency bid by a group of GOP-led states to keep 'Title 42' in place until legal challenges play out.

On Tuesday, the Biden administration had a dead line to make a quick decision.

The controversial Trump-era border restriction known as ‘Title 42’ was meant to end today. Chief Justice John Roberts decided to put a temporary hold on the termination and asked all parties involved in the lawsuit to weigh in.

The Biden administration responded and encouraged the justices to reject an emergency bid by a group of GOP-led states to keep ‘Title 42’ in place until legal challenges play out.

The administration also shared that the states led by Arizona, do not have the outreach of the law to challenge a federal district court opinion that ordered the termination of the policy.

Until the Supreme Court issues an order, ‘Title 42’ will remain in effect.

Despite the temporary freeze, the administration is going to continue with planning as if nothing has changed.
