Federal Government Is Suing The State Of Arizona

The Federal Government is suing the state of Arizona. The lawsuit is for their actions of placing shipping containers at the border as a temporary wall.

A few months ago, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, issued an executive order calling on the state’s department of emergency and military affairs to use containers to close gaps along the border. The Republican governor urged this motion without official permits or authorization.

The Federal Government has been warning the state to remove the containers ever since the motion was carried through. They claim that Arizona’s temporary wall affects the U.S’s ability to access border areas and that the state ignored the Endangered Species Act during the containers placements by cutting down trees and clogging drains.

It is now requesting for the court to force Arizona to remove the temporary fillings and cover the cost of any measures the United States will make to undo the state’s actions.

Arizona says the lawsuit is unfounded.
