Two Arrested On Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

A traffic stop was conducted on a 'suspicious' vehicle when officers discovered drugs within the vehicle.

Two men have been arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop was conducted on a ‘suspicious’ vehicle.

The traffic stop occurred around 2:17p.m, Tuesday on Fraser Street in Georgetown.

55-year-old, Hoyt High and 51-year-old, David Birt, were fighting in a gray SUV when officers approached the vehicle and saw High place a clear plastic bag in his mouth.

After High spit the bag out, it was revealed that it contained heroin, meth and crack cocaine.

High faces charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin, meth, and cocaine.

Birt faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and hindering and obstructing law enforcement.

Both have been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center.
