U.S. Men’s National Team Place In World Cup Knockout Stage

The men's national team played Iran in an intense Group b win or go home game.

On Tuesday, U.S.A soccer fans were on the edge of their seats as the men’s national team played Iran in an intense Group b win or go home game.

U.S.A’s determination to fight for their place in the World Cup knockout stage, earned a 1-0 win. Christian Pulisic’s first-half goal was all the U.S. needed to secure the lead and win.

This was the first time that Iran and the U.S. met on the football pitch and the biggest sport occasion between the countries in decades.

Both teams were aware that a win would secure a place in the round of 16, but for U.S.A, a draw would have cost them their opportunity to progress to the next round.
