Biden Calls On Congress For Railroad Union Agreement
Railroad union workers have been threatening a strike for sometime now.
President Biden has called on Congress to assist in preventing a railroad strike.
Railroad union workers have been threatening a strike for sometime now. A “cooling-off” period was granted, giving time to allow for a more agreeable contract to be drawn up but despite attempts, there has yet to be an agreement on terms.
The House is set to vote on a pair of deals Wednesday with hopes to construct a contract that will satisfy the unions.
One of the four unions stated that it was, “deeply disappointed by the president.”
