North Korea Successfully Launched An ICBM

North Korea has successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile after the first failed attempt earlier this month.

The missile landed near Japanese waters and Japan’s defense minister said that it has the potential to reach all of the U.S. mainland. The U.S. immediately condemned the launch and promised to take “all necessary measures” to guard the safety of its own mainland and of allies, South Korea and Japan.

Vice President, Kamala Harris, expressed that the launch is a “brazen violation of multiple U.N. security resolutions and it destabilizes security in the region, and unnecessarily raises tensions..”  She further urged North Korea to stop the unlawful and destabilizing acts.
