Representative, Mike Garcia’s victory in California’s 27th congressional district, gave Republicans the 218th seat that was needed for control of the House.

Now that Republicans have control, Nancy Pelosi will no longer be the speaker when the new congress is sworn in on January 3rd. She plans to address her future plans to her colleagues on Thursday.
