Biden Administration Is Considering Extending Student Loan Pause
The pause on the student loan payments is set to be lifted as of January first.
The Biden Administration is thinking about extending the pause that is currently on student loan repayments.
As of right now, the pause on the loan payments is set to be lifted as of January first. However, the Student Loan Forgiveness Program is facing legal challenges, making it difficult for the Biden Administration to carry out the plan.
Due to the program being in legal limbo, Administration lawyers are in debate whether to call for yet another pause or not.
Those in favor of placing another hold on the payments are set to take action before December 6th but, a final decision has yet to be made.
