The United Nations shared that the new world population is 8 billion people, saying that 1 billion people have been added to the global population just over the past 12 years.
The U.N. stated that the growth is due to the gradual increase in human lifespan’s thanks to improvements in public health, nutrition, personal hygiene, and medicine.
The United Nations predicts the global population is expected to reach nearly 10.4 billion people in the 2080’s and remain at that level until 2100.
