January 6 Committee Interviews More Secret Service Witnesses

The panel is determined to learn more about what the Secret Service knew about the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

The House January 6 committee conducted two additional interviews of U.S. Secret Service witnesses.

On Wednesday, former Secret Service agent, John Gutsmiedl, was interviewed. He was the overseer of the teams responsible for protecting then-President Donald Trump on the day of the Capitol attack.

Yesterday, the panel heard from Tim Giebels who is the former head of Mike Pence’s security detail.

The committee is expected to interview at least six more Secret Service witnesses including current and former officials and agents.

The panel said they are determined to learn more about what the Secret Service knew about the January 6th attack on the Capitol.
