Georgetown County Community Members Gathered To Discuss Cleanup Process

On Wednesday, Georgetown County council members held a meeting to discuss plans for the area.
Community members gathered to talk over and consider cleanup efforts from the damage caused by Hurricane Ian, as well as other projects that are currently on-going.
Emergency contractors have already started work on beach accesses and crews are in the process of putting more sand on the beach.
Public work officials shared several other projects to improve the town’s draining systems, including a $25 million draining project that is in the works as well as projects for Garden City and Murrells Inlet.
During the meeting, community members were urged to reach out to the police with any concerns.
