The Previous Stop-Work Order In Surfside Has Been Lifted

Construction on the pier has resumed, however, it is uncertain when work on the buildings can proceed.

An official of Surfside Beach says the stop-work order issued involving the Surfside Pier was decided based on rumors and incorrect information.

There were two stop-work orders recently issued, one for the pier itself as well as one for the buildings connected to the pier. The orders were demanded after accusations that the permits and licenses were not properly completed.

It was reported that the incorrect information was due to a mix-up of the construction company’s name. The correct company provided proper permits and the stop-work order was lifted shortly after it had been issued.
