A Historic Home In Lake City Is Going To Transform Into A Museum

Dr. Bryant plans to use the house to preserve African American history.

A Lake City home will soon be transformed into a museum.

The historical PD Cockfield house is nearly 2,700 square feet. It’s a two story house located on the East side of Lake City on Valley Street. It was rented in 2008 then bought in 2012 by Dr. Terrie Bryant.

Dr. Bryant plans to use the house to preserve African American history. It’s expected to be used to host educational programs and activities.

A historical trail and virtual tour of the home will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, from 12:30 to 2p.m at the Continuum Community room.
