New Motion Filed For Alex Murdaugh Trial

Overall, a list of 15 missing items have been requested for review before the trial starts.

As Alex Murdaugh’s murder trial nears, a new motion has been filed.

Murdaugh is accused of killing 52-year-old, Maggie Murdaugh and 22-year-old, Paul Murdaugh. The attorneys representing him have filed a new motion to compel the state to provide evidence to the defense. Among the missing evidence is any and all testing results of the victim’s clothing, including DNA and gunshot residue.

They are also requesting to review any audio and video recordings of interviews with Curtis Smith who is accused of being Murdaugh’s accomplice as well as conspiring with Murdaugh to defraud an insurance company.
