The Supreme Court Rejected an Appeal Presented by Dylann Roof

The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal from the man who is guilty of the 2015 massacre of 9 members of a black South Carolina congregation.

Dylann Roof shot the attendees of a bible study held at Mother Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston. During the sentencing phase of his capital trial, Roof requested the court appeal his previous death sentence. He requested for a decision to be made on how to handle the arguments regarding the possible plea of mental illness which held related evidence between capital defendants and their attorneys. The appeal was rejected. Roof is on federal death row at a maximum security prison in Indiana.
