Gov. McMaster Stated 100 Thousand S.C. Homes Were Added To Broadband Access

Governor McMaster also made an announcement with Democratic U.S. Congressman Jim Clyburn. A year into South Carolina’s $480 million effort to increase the amount of families that have access to internet, more than 100 thousand homes now have access to broadband internet. The state’s time-line to connect everyone has also sped up in result of nearly half a billion dollars that has already been or will be spent on this project. Clyburn explained this path is an attempt to build South Carolina including every residence and business. He stated that McMaster says in 3 to 5 years, this could be accomplished. Clyburn is the overseer for South Carolina’s spending on broadband expansion.
