Biden Administration Plan To Prevent Diet Related Diseases

The Biden Administration is releasing a proposal to reduce diet related diseases and health disparities in the U.S. The proposal is only an outline without funding attached to it. Administration officials are referring to it as a road map for taking action. They also shared that diet related diseases are preventable and we have the tools to solve them if we prioritize them. The proposal asks congress to expand access to healthy free school meals by 2032. Officials have said the goal is to provide school meals for free for all students by assisting schools to tap into regional and local food systems. The proposal overall has a goal to end hunger by 2030.
