After 27 Years Internet Explorer has Been Shut Down

Microsoft officially killed what was once the king of internet browsers.

It’s the end of an online era! Microsoft officially killed what was once the king of internet browsers. Internet Explorer debuted in 1995 as part of the Windows 95 operating system. It became an instant hit and at one point commanded 95 percent of the browser market. Now, it supposedly sits at around only 5 percent. The success of Google Chrome and Firefox were factors in the shut down.
