University of Alabama Quarterback Bryce Young Wins 2021 Heisman Trophy

University of Alabama quarterback Bryce Young was awarded the 2021 Heisman Trophy on Saturday. Young was named a finalist this week along with Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, University of Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. Last year Alabama’s wide receiver Devonta Smith accepted the award in a virtual ceremony due to the pandemic. Young being named a Heisman finalist moved Alabama into a tie with Oklahoma for the most finalists of any school with 11 according to Heisman Trust and is Alabama’s 9th finalist since 2009. Young finished the season with 4,322 passing yards, 43 touchdowns and four interceptions.
