Robeson County Man Sentenced to 10 Years Behind Bars

A Robeson County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. 57 year old Jonathan Revels from Red Springs was sentenced yesterday after being convicted in April. According to U.S. Attorney Michael F. Easley of the Eastern District of North Carolina, on September 4, 2016 the Robeson County Sheriffs Office and the Red Springs Police Department responded to shots fired at Kate Denny Road which led to the death of Jason Hunt of Lumberton. Revels was charged with second degree murder in that incident.
