Jussie Smollett Found Guilty of Five of Six Counts
Yesterday, Jussie Smollett was found guilty of five out of six felony counts. The charges were of disorderly conduct for making a false report to Chicago Police that he was the victim of a hate crime in January 2019. The jury consisting of six men and six women deliberated for more than nine hours on Wednesday and yesterday. As the verdict was read, Smollett did not move and was seen gazing straight ahead. His next court date is set for January 27th for post-trial motions.
