Two Robeson County Firefighters Arrested for DWI

Two Robeson County firefighters have been charged for driving while intoxicated after a crash while on their way to a fire scene. According to Sergeant Sherwood Lewis with the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Orrum Township Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Kenneth Caulder Jr. and Melquan Eilliams with the Fairmont Rural Fire Department were arrested and charged with DWI. Williams was set to become Fire Chief in January. Caulder was suspended on Saturday and Williams was also suspended by the county fire department board of directors but his suspension was overruled.
