Police Investigating After Body Found At Econo Lodge in Florence

Deputies in Florence are also investigating a shooting that happened last night. According to Major Michael Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to the Econo Lodge on West Lucas Street and found a person injured from a gunshot wound. Nunn said the victim was ‘lying in the lobby foyer’ and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No additional information is currently available and the incident remains under investigation.
